JCB

JCB now offers a fast charge version of its first ever fully electric mini excavator. The JCB 19C-1E is powered by four lithium-ion batteries, to

provide 20kWh of energy storage. This is enough for a full working shift for the majority of mini excavator customers on a single charge – which takes just two and a half hours with the fast charge option. This rapid charge time is achieved by directly taking a 415V,

3 phase supply from the grid and converting this supply from AC to DC power. It makes the 19C1-E ideally suited to users who can benefit from opportune charging or applications which require unplanned or quick responses, such as utility services. The 19C-1E itself is a powerful compact model with zero exhaust

emissions and one that is considerably quieter than a standard machine. Utilising automotive battery technology, it delivers all of the performance of a conventional diesel-powered 1.9-tonne mini excavator with a reduction of both internal and external noise levels.
