Evans steps up Dan Evans to replace Speedy CEO Russell Down. Dan has worked at Speedy for 14 years – firstly as depot manager in 2008, general manager a year later, then sales manager, regional director and he was made managing Director in 2017. He is currently COO and will take up his new role on 1st October. Russell Down, meanwhile, steps down on 30th September. However, he will remain in place until May 2023 to ensure a smooth handover.
Vp no longer for sale After announcing his plans to sell his stake in Vp plc back in April, chairman Jeremy
Pilkington has decided to abandon the entire process after all. Pilkington held a controlling 50.26% stake in Vp through his company, Ackers P Investment. While there was apparently much interest from external parties, it appears that none of the offers received quite met with the board’s objectives. There are no further plans or announcements, but we’ll let you know if there’s any new news.
Redexim promotes Ex TigerTurf UK MD, Paul Langford, has joined Redexim to support their continued
growth and spearhead the UK’s commercial activities. As the new Director of Commercial Operations, he will be leading the team of regional sales managers and he will lead the development of the overall sales and marketing strategies to further cement Redexim’s position at the heart of the natural and synthetic turf maintenance sectors.
ScotPlant 2024 dated Construction machinery show ‘ScotPlant’ will take place on April 26/27 2024, it has been
announced. Returning to the Royal Highland Centre near to the ‘Athens of the North’ – Edinburgh – visitors can look forward to an open air event hosting around 200 exhibitors. Hopefully nice weather too, as it was earlier this year. See
