BauWatch in a box BauWatch UK is relatively new in the British Isles and is still
expanding as a team, yet it has still found time to launch a brand new product. The ‘Cube Solar', as it is called is a solar-powered CCTV tower backed by a methanol fuel cell – all in a boxy casing, as the name suggests. The polyhedral unit does not require petrochemical fuels of any kind and it can run autonomously for a full year – even without sunlight. Otherwise, this rapidly deployed security system comes with 24/7 HD recording and live audio challenge to discourage site trespassers and other ne'er do wells. The second bit of BauWatch UK news is the appointment of
Victoria Westwood as Strategic Account Manager – North. Victoria is formerly of Liftech – as profiled in the June 22 edition of EHN. It appears that her powered access venture has not worked out. We hope to get the full details in due course, but Liftech's loss is most certainly BauWatch UK's gain in the meantime.
Pumps division GAP is celebrating the first year of its Pump Services division, with the opening of two new depots in Warrington and Dundee. GAP Group has investment of over £20million in the Pumps
Division over the last 12 months alone, which now boasts over 500 Stage V pumps and an impressive 150,000 metres of hose. The division operates from eight depots nationwide, including the new Warrington and Dundee depots, with plans for further expansion TBC. GAP Pump Services focuses on special fluid movement, from
basic dewatering to dedicated system design. Under the GAP Environmental product group ranges, the company has chemical dosing plants, lamella clarifiers, pH balancing systems and recycling concrete wash systems. All GAP pumps are colour coordinated for different uses, including draining, sewage and hydraulics, which ensures no cross-contamination. GAP pumps are all sourced from leading suppliers, such as
Atlas Copco, DXB Pump & Power and Active Engineering. All pumps are available in a range of sizes.
