Triple threat Takeuchi’s

Bauma showcase was a fine substitute for Oktoberfest at times. In between the revelry, the company also had three new machines on display. First up, the TB335R, which is a compact, short-tail-swing excavator

with minimal overhang behind the operator’s seat. Weighing 3760kg and with a maximum bucket breakout force of 27.1kN, the new machine is powered by an EU Stage V engine delivering 18.2kW and a maximum torque of 95.8 Nm. The TB335R offers two working modes – ‘Standard’ and ‘ECO’ – enabling users to adapt to the task at hand, opting for fuel savings or more power as required. The TB350R is a larger version of the TB335R. This robust 5085kg

model is suitable for multiple applications, and is equipped with a 32.4 kW engine. The TB350R is highly mobile with a boom swing radius of 71° left and 55° right. It can dig to a depth of 3575mm and it has a gradeability of 30%. Biggest of the new bunch, theTB395W wheeled excavator weighs

10,150kg, with an 85 kW engine. Its 4095mm digging depth and 8530mm cutting height make it useful on sites. It also offers a maximum bucket breakout force of 58.9kN, a maximum arm digging force of 39.7kN and a traction force of 578kN.

‘Boom time Sinoboom access products are quickly finding favour, and rightly

so. The company was showing several new products at the recent Bauma expo. Firstly, the 6.55 tonne AB10ERJN, which has an operating

height of 12m, a horizontal extension of 6.3m and platform capacity of 230kg. The fly arm supports a 90° swing in each direction, making the new machine suitable for working in tight spaces. The company also had the SPA33HJ hybrid spider lift on

display. Developed in conjunction with spider specialists, Falcon Lifts, the new machine is already available in China but is planned to roll out in Europe in the near future. Highest and mightiest,

the TB860EJ Plus telescopic boom lift, which is also called the TB26EJ in Metric markets. The 18.059 tonne new machine is powered by a 480ah battery, with a maximum platform height of 26.3m, a weight limit of 454kg and a 4WD gradeability of 45%. In short it’s a bit of a unit.
