All go at the Glasgow Roadshow
As we saw in 2021, the appetite for a Scottish roadshow event
was strong indeed – a great many of the most prominent hirers from Scotland and the North of England availing themselves of the brilliant show-only deals throughout. If anything, the 2022 event was even busier, with some hirers travelling long distances to attend. Displaying their wares on the day, Altrad Belle, Duro Yokota,
Euro Towers, Fentex, Husqvarna UK, Legend Brands Europe, MHM Group, Multiquip, Pramac Generac UK, SANY, Shindaiwa, Snorkel, SPA Power Machinery, Hire Supply Company and Trime. All reported strong sales and many have now signed up for the
forthcoming Executive Hire West & Wales Roadshow. Taking place at a swish new venue – the Aztec Hotel & Spa, Bristol BS32 4TS – and ideally sandwiched between the M4, M5 and the M32, we greatly look forward to welcoming hirers, not just from the West and Wales, but from the south, the Midlands and perhaps even the eastern Home Counties. Attendance and parking are entirely FREE, ditto the light
refreshments served throughout. The event itself takes place on December 6th, running from 2-7pm. New companies joining us on
the day include GroundsCare Products, Brendon Powerwashers, Genquip Groundhog and IDE Systems, and all 12 exhibition spaces are now sold. It all has the
makings of an entirely unmissable event – not to mention a fine opportunity to reconnect with favoured suppliers, to hobnob with fellow hirers and to take advantage of those blink and you’ll miss’em show-only deals! Keep an eye on

further details, and register your interest with Sally O’ Brien at
s.obrien@hgluk.com – or simply turn up on the day. See you on the 6th!
Back to front There’s no reason why site dumpers need to look like they were
built to withstand the apocalypse, so respect as always to Mecalac for an admirable attention to style as well as substance. Encapsulating the point succinctly, the company’s new ‘Revotruck’ dumper, as showcased at Bauma recently. The clue is in the name, itself a pleasant change to usual
alphanumeric monikers. The new machine still needs to function safely and effectively, of course. With its isolated cab, which can be rotated and minutely positioned at the touch of a button, the Revotruck is an alternate to rival machines where the cab is fixed but the console within rotates. As well as enabling operators to maintain a perfect view of
the task at hand, the Revotruck has enough built-in flexibility to deal with rugged jobsite conditions – the linkage between the two halves allowing up to 18 degrees of oscillation. Front, all- wheel steering and crab steering modes are also available.
