PLANTWORX PREVIEW continued
Expanded Astrak range
Astrak, which specialises in supplying excavator undercarriage parts, will display a significantly increased range at Plantworx. The company says its line-up has expanded considerably to include bolt-on blades for dozers and loading shovels, breaker steels, track adjusters and final drives, as well as the Berco portfolio of components, such as track chains, rollers, idlers and sprockets.
Catch the AMI Bug Go electric with Wacker Neuson
Products on display on the Wacker Neuson stand will include the WL20e battery-powered wheel loader. The machine, which has a bucket capacity of 0.2 litres, is fitted with two electric motors, one for the drive system and one for the operating hydraulics, and this is said to give a level of performance that is similar to that of a conventional diesel machine. The manufacturer says that, as the WL20e emits no emissions, it can be
used across a broader range of applications, such as in urban areas where pollution regulations are in place, and for working indoors.
AMI Group will launch the LightBug, a GPS tracking device that is smaller than a standard house key. It is battery- operated, operates wirelessly and is designed for easy installation on plant and machinery such as excavators and generators. It re-charges itself via a small solar panel, and can be transferred quickly from one machine to another, says the company. The system uses GPS positioning that is accurate to within
1m, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology, to give several ways of tracking and recovering items if they should be stolen.

and a lift height of up to 4.3m, and a load of 800kg can be extended to the maximum forward reach of 2.6m. Two-speed hydrostatic transmission is incorporated, and the machine has a 36.5kW Kubota diesel engine that is Stage IIIA emissions-compliant without the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or AdBlue, says the manufacturer. It measures only 1.9m high, when fitted with a compact beacon, and its narrow width of 1.49m, combined with three-mode steering, facilitates work in confined spaces.
