PLANTWORX PREVIEW

Plantworx set for take-off

This year’s Plantworx will be the biggest yet with more than 380 exhibitors. We highlight some of the new equipment relevant to our industry being launched at the Show, being held at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground on 6 to 8 June.

Get hands-on with Takeuchi

Takeuchi’s demonstration area will display several new models that have been launched in the past 18 months, from a micro excavator up to a 15-tonne machine, all of which will be available for visitors to try out. These

will include two new hybrid versions of the popular 1.6-tonne TB216 and the TB210R micro. Both have an additional

electric motor at the rear and Takeuchi says that there is no reduction in performance when they are operated from a mains power source. Also on show will be the TB260 and TB290, as well as a selection of reduced tail swing models.

HSC adds Weber

Hire Supply Co (HSC) is introducing compaction equipment from the German manufacturer, Weber, for which it has been appointed as the UK distributor. The range includes rammers and single direction and reversible plate compactors, as well as floor saws. MD Gary McWilliam states that the CR2 reversible plate is

particularly suited for landscaping tasks. It has an operating weight of 156kg when fitted with a Hatz diesel engine, or 143kg with a Honda petrol power unit, and it creates a centrifugal force of 25kN. It can be fitted with an optional water tank and sprinkler system. Also included in the Plantworx

line-up will be the SRV 620 rammer, powered by a Honda GXR 120 engine that has been specially developed for this type of machine.

29 Ultimate Morris line-up

Morris Site Machinery will show its TL90 Ultimate lighting tower which is available in more than 20 variants so that it can be tailored to meet individual site requirements and budgets. The machine can be specified with a choice

of Perkins or Kubota diesel engines that are designed for low levels of fuel consumption and emissions. It is fitted with a Deep Sea control panel and telemetry options are available to enable operators to monitor and track the units, which incorporate four 300W LED lights.

New EasyCabin trio

AJC Trailers will show three new models in its EasyCabin range of welfare products. The EcoStatic 24 provides canteen facilities for up to eight people, with a toilet/wash room, drying room and an office area. It incorporates low-voltage sensing technology to ensure optimal power from the 12V battery system. The EcoSmart 12 is a mobile welfare unit for up six personnel.

It has LED lights with passive infrared sensors, so that the on-board generator does not have to be started during typical conditions. The EasySnooze is a new two-berth static accommodation unit with en-suite facilities.
