Engines Plus targets emissions
Engines Plus will promote the Isuzu range of industrial diesel engines, which extends from a 0.6-litre, two-cylinder unit up to a 15.6-litre, six-cylinder turbocharged model. The main focus, however, will be on new engines that have been developed to meet the requirements of the forthcoming Stage 5 emissions regulations, including units of up to 140kW capacity. Also on display will be a new lightweight 1-litre petrol engine from Textron Motors, rated up to 37kW.
Probst shows lifting line-up
The main attraction on Probst’s stand will be its RVD concrete pipe lifter, designed to eliminate the use of slings or chains when undertaking lifting operations from a lorry bed to ground level. Also on display will be the TM tracked vacuum laying device (pictured) which is suitable for laying long stretches of kerb stones, as well as a selection of mechanical block grabs for lifting items ranging from a single kerb to a full pack of blocks or bricks.
Utility products from A&Y
Part of A&Y Equipment’s stand will be devoted to products for the utilities market, such as the Ammann ATR 30 rammer, which was debuted at the Executive Hire Show. Since then, the 29kg machine has been fitted with a narrower foot which is said to be proving popular on fibre optic cabling sites for its manoeuvrability and ease of handling. Also on show will be
Sure-footed Truxtas
Tufftruk will promote its Truxta compact dumpers at Plantworx. The company says that a particularly important characteristic of the machines is the hydrostatic system which provides dynamic braking to all four wheels. This is said to give precise control, as well as a fail-safe dead-man’s parking brake that will hold the machine, fully loaded, on steep gradients. The line-up includes standard Rigid models and Bendi versions with an
articulating chassis, and both will be demonstrated at the Show. Petrol, diesel and battery powered options are available.
