Urban machines from Hanix
Hanix Europe will launch its N085uj excavator, which replaces the H75C and is described as the first of a new generation of ‘urban’ mini and midi models. The 8315kg machine has a 43kW Kubota engine and is designed for low levels of fuel consumption and emissions. It is available with a short or long dipper arm, with the latter option adding 200mm to both maximum digging depth and ground level reach, at 4505mm and 7135mm respectively. Also on display will be a radio-controlled version of
the 5.5-tonne H55DR excavator, together with a pair of crawler-mounted aerial work platforms which Hanix plans to introduce to the UK later this year. The NUL070R-2 is the smallest model in the range, while the NUL13Suj offers a maximum platform height of 13m.
Smart Securi-Cabin unit
Securi-Cabin UK will show its Smart Pick welfare unit, which has a purpose- designed trailer to enable it to be delivered to site using a 4x4 vehicle. A special steering system is incorporated to facilitate accurate positioning in restricted areas, and demonstrations will be given on the stand. The cabin itself extends to provide a dedicated office area, and a power management system is included to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Thwaites to unveil new dumper
Visitors to the Thwaites stand will be able to see the global launch of a new model from the dumper manufacturer. Details of the 9-tonne capacity machine are being kept under wraps until Plantworx opens, but Thwaites describes it as “the definitive dumper” designed for reliability, safety and comfort. The new-look model has been designed and manufactured at the
company’s Warwickshire headquarters, and Thwaites anticipates strong demand from civil, construction and housebuilding markets as contractors seek equipment with enhanced ergonomics and which can increase site safety.
