PLANTWORX PREVIEW continued
Broad range from Generac
Generac Power Systems acquired Towerlight in 2013 and says that, since then, it has focused on new product development, particularly on lighting towers with very low fuel consumption and low carbon emissions, and with compact dimensions for easy transportation. In February it
launched the V20 model, which also coincided with the company’s 20th
anniversary of lighting tower manufacture. It has also introduced Finning’s Cats get Ready
Finning UK & Ireland will launch an initiative called Ready2Go, to promote the characteristics and suitability of its Cat Compact range of micro and mini excavators for the hire market. Models being highlighted include the 300.9, 301.7 and

It adds that machines are fully supported in the field, with parts available round-the-clock for next-day delivery.
Close cutting with Husqvarna
Husqvarna is exhibiting for the first time at Plantworx and will give demonstrations of many products from its portfolio, including the Cut-n-Break saw. Two versions are available, namely the K 760, which has a petrol engine, and the electrically powered K 3000. They can cut to a depth of up to 400mm from one side, making them suitable for making openings for windows, where the operator needs to avoid overcutting at the corners. The K 3000 is suitable for flush cutting so that users can cut close to walls and floors, and its electric motor means there are no fumes, so it can be used indoors.
30 New shears from BPH
BPH Attachments, which is the sole importer of Prodem hydraulic excavator attachments, will launch a new range of demolition shears to suit machines from 3 tonnes upwards. Called the PDS Series, they have a welded-on upper jaw protection system to reduce maintenance, and a replaceable protection plate on the lower jaw is designed to eliminate damage and to minimise downtime on site. The blade is designed to reduce stress and wear on the upper jaw, and can be turned several times on to different sides for longer life.
a darkness sensor and timer to automatically turn the machine on and off, and continues to explore technologies such as LED lamps and hybrid power systems for environmentally friendly operation. Generac also provides dust suppression units for applications such
