Groundhog The Fusion Pulse range has sold very well for Groundhog, although the company has even
greater ambitions for its new iRange welfare cabins. With four solar panels on the roof and an intelligent battery system backup, the i500 mobile
welfare unit is able to run entirely without the HVO-compatible generator during the UK summer months – even in night use or during winter, power usage is up to 90% reduced in comparison to Fusion Pulse cabins. Other features are designed to enhance worker comforts, including a 12V system powering
the air blown heating, the LED lighting, powered sockets and USB connectors, hot drinking water and microwave facilities, and an optional coolbox/fridge – all operated via the i500 control panel. Sustainable operation is built-in, but iRange cabins also benefit from the ‘Hogwatch’ system, which allows users to monitor fuel efficiency
and performance. Groundhog is also able to access system data and can advise if the unit is not being used to its best advantage.

CabinTec After making a confident debut at
EHS 2023, CabinTec has now established its presence in the welfare space. The new Sanispace toilet employs
solar techology to create a self- sufficient and energy-efficient portable hygiene facility that is ideal for construction sites and secluded site locations. Functionality is key to such
units, and Sanispace includes all the essential amenities required, including a flushing toilet, a handwashing sink and a hot water supply. Other benefits include a 500L waste tank, a 400L freshwater tank
and an efficient 12v Webasto diesel heating system. The inclusion of 240v backup battery charger and 150-amp deep cell batteries ensures an uninterrupted power supply in any situation. In harnessing the sun's energy, the Sanispace toilet reduces carbon
emissions and eliminates reliance on traditional power sources.

Armorgard Central to Armorgard’s stand at EHS 2023, the ‘PowerStor’
allows operators to charge power tool batteries on site while reducing the impact if a battery fire was to occur. Behind the the
substantial doors is an arrangement of five shelves and 32 individual plug sockets – the unit is powered single 32A /230V power supply. PowerStor arrives to the jobsite preassembled, with fork pockets and lifting eyes meaning that is easily moved or isolated as required. However, a key selling point is the fire suppression system fitted as standard, which is quickly triggered if heat or flames are detected. As such, workers, the unit itself and its contents are protected at all times.

Hire Supply Company There is no reason why commercial air conditioners need to possess an industrial aesthetic. Demonstrating the point,
while providing powerful performance, is the Elite AC1400. Air conditioners work by pulling in hot air from a room, compressing and chilling it using a refrigerant gas, then
blowing the cooled air back out. Portable air conditioners house the compressor and evaporation system in the same unit, and the Elite AC1400 comes complete with all the accessories required, including an exhaust hose, a window fixing kit and a drain hose. In spite of its svelte form factor, the Elite AC1400 air conditioner has a cooling capacity of 14,600Btu or 4.3kW. The unit also acts as a dehumidifier, effectively removing moisture from the air in humid working conditions.
