JCB launches £2 million NSPCC appeal

JCB has kicked off the biggest-ever fundraising drive for the NSPCC in its history – with a target of £2 million. The appeal will culminate in 2025, when JCB celebrates its

80th anniversary – and 40 years of support for the UK’s children’s charity. It was through Carole Bamford that the NSPCC originally became JCB’s nominated charity, with millions of pounds raised over the years. “The support JCB employees give to the NSPCC makes a real

difference to children in our communities,” explained Lady Bamford said “The Appeal is already off to a wonderful start, and I know everyone will rise to this challenge. Most of all I want everyone to have fun as we raise money for this most deserving of causes.”

Lloyd Butcher, NSPCC senior corporate partnerships

manager added: “We are extremely grateful to JCB for launching this appeal to raise £2million in two years. The funding will support our local services for children and families in Staffordshire and beyond. JCB has been a significant supporter of the NSPCC for nearly 40 years and we’re incredibly thankful for their support.” The appeal is already off to a flying start with the JCB

‘Lakeside 5’ and Fun Run to be closely followed by a sportive cycling event, a Three Peaks climb, a bake-off compo and a football tournament. The JCB Championship at its Golf & Country Club this summer also promises to be the headline fundraising event for the appeal.

takes flight Building upon the success of its popular CR300 concrete crusher, the new CR400 from Dragon Equipment offers enhanced power, endurance, and crushing efficiency. While the CR300 remains ideal for projects where access is

tight or restricted, the CR400 is specially engineered for larger demolition jobs that demand increased crushing capacity. At the heart of the unit is the Vanguard EFI 23HP V-Twin

petrol engine with a 33L fuel tank. Although a bigger and more powerful machine, the CR400 is still easy to transport, weighing in at under 1200Kg and just 800mm wide. Plus, it retains the ‘no stress’ and ‘anti-stall’ benefits of its smaller sibling, which act as a machine minder to ensure maximum output and minimal machine downtime.
