Innovation and expansion
HARDLY known a decade ago, aparthotels and serviced apartments are one of the fastest growing areas of the hotel sector.
Staycity Group is one of Europe’s leading independent aparthotel operators. Formed by Tom Walsh and his brother in 2004, the company now has some 7,000 apartments in their portfolio in cities from Dublin, London and Liverpool to Paris, Lyon and Marseille, with others coming on stream in Venice, Berlin and Edinburgh.
Blackpool Central

Keep on moving could also be the motto of Blackpool, the historic seaside resort which has been a major visitor attraction for more than 100 years. Looking ahead to the future, Blackpool Council has unveiled plans for the single biggest investment in the seaside town’s tourism industry for more than a decade.
