American Apparel is back T
he American Apparel brand is available once again for US consumers with the relaunch of its e-commerce site. The site started taking orders on August 7 and focuses on the core styles that made American Apparel the go-to brand for fashion basics. Three new catalogue sections cater to all types of consumers: the Basics Shop highlights Gildan and American Apparelʼs core compatibility, allowing consumers to find high- quality basics at great value; the Icons Shop makes it easy for loyal American Apparel consumers to shop the iconic styles that defined the American Apparel brand and the Made in USA Shop allows consumers to buy US made products at classic price points.
Currently available to US consumers only, the new
website offers a sleek, mobile-friendly design with enhanced features. As a first phase of this website, consumers will easily be able to find their favourite styles and can look forward to many enhancements in the coming months. Prism Inks acquires Graphics One

n July 5, AD International, a division of Prism Ink, acquired Graphics One. Prism Inks and Graphics One have had an ongoing distribution relationship for many years. As part of the acquisition, Graphics One will become the global distribution arm for the wide array of digital inks produced by the various Prism Ink companies. Amir Ajanee, CEO and president of Prism, said: “Prism Inks has experienced tremendous growth with OEM printer manufacturers over the past 10 years.
“The acquisition of Graphics One allows us to leverage this growth into other digital imaging markets through both our traditional channels and through the extensive network of Graphics One. We are excited to add Graphics One to the Prism Inksʼ family.”
Dan Barefoot, president of Graphics One, added: “We are pleased to become part of the Prism Inksʼ family. We have distributed products from Prism since the start of Graphics One and have had a very successful relationship. “Many people are not aware that Prism is the largest independent digital ink company in the Americas and have the widest array of digital ink products. Being able to offer world class products through our distribution network will be highly beneficial to both Prismʼs and Graphics Oneʼs customers.”
