oxygen and one of us nearly having to be helicoptered off on the first night. I am delighted to tell you that despite this we all completed the challenge.” Technical jackets from merchandising and promotional products specialist Promo International were donated to the ladies before their hike, after a chance meeting with the company's MD Peter Townsend. These jackets proved extremely useful.

Ms Riches added: “As well as wearing them in the evening and the freezing

mornings (we were up between 4 and 5.00am each morning) we all slept in our jackets and I know that they contributed to our success and wellbeing.” Kim Robertson created this fundraising group after being diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2011. Since then, all members have been dedicated to raising money for the UKʼs largest breast cancer research charity, Breast Cancer Now with other activities such as walking the Great Wall of China and cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia.
