Aleph and R A Smart partner to release LaForte Studio range of systems
T
wo decades of partnership has seen more than 200 of R A Smartʼs customersʼ textile digital printing systems running Alephʼs Smartprint dedicated textile RIP software.
Aleph has unparalleled experience in the world of digital textiles, including writing proprietary textile software and manufacture, supply and support of dedicated digital textile solutions. The natural progression for the Italian company was to design and manufacture its own digital textile printing solution. After two years of development this became a reality with the launch of the ground breaking LaForte Paper, with patented media feed belt technology and LaForte Textile digital printers at ITMA

2015. These innovative industrial printers are aimed at print professionals requiring the highest quality of printing onto both textiles and dye sublimation papers with a unique configuration to allow additional print heads to be added as productivity requirements increase.

DTGUK.com has become the first UK company to install Kornitʼs Storm Hexa, which
was supplied by Adelco Screen Process.
DTGUK.com already uses two of Kornitʼs Breeze machines and this new addition means that throughput rates can now be augmented with the added benefit of working with a wider variety of garments and apparel.
The growth of
DTGUK.com has resulted in the need for an additional high productivity DTG printer and the addition of the Kornit Digital Storm Hexa now means that co-directors Nick Davis and Phil Walker can concentrate on fulfilment printing. This further investment into a DTG system is ideal for heavy-duty production cycles with a variety of apparel and garment products, including items such hoodies and aprons as well as T shirts. Both Mr Davis and Mr Walker have always enjoyed working with Adelco, whose knowledge of the textile industry
migrated into the digital production segment more than 12 years ago. The Kornit Storm Hexa incorporates the NeoPigment process that makes it ideal for use on nearly all fabrics. It has 16 print heads and two additional colours to provide full support for CMYK, red, green and white. It is ideal for producers of colour-conscious applications that need to match specific brand and corporate requirements, and can output up to 170 garments per hour in high productivity mode. Its recirculation system reduces ink consumption, and optimises reliability while double the numbers of nozzles increases throughput by up to 40% when compared with its predecessors. DTGUK.comʼs move to new premises, the Storm Hexa is now up and running, producing custom-printed products with no minimum order number.

R A Smart envisages these systems will have great appeal in the UK marketplace with a combination of innovative Italian design and uncompromising engineering taken from the LaForte Industrial range and introduced into a cost effective solution for both dye sublimation and direct to textile printing at 180cm, 220cm and 320cm print widths. These systems will appeal to a wide range of sectors including signage, apparel, sportswear, home furnishing and more. With a full range of textile ink chemistries to complement the printers as well as finishing solutions for both natural and synthetic fabrics available from R A Smart, the LaForte range of systems will certainly have a widespread appeal across the industry sectors.
New screen washout booths from Vastex
N
ew screen washout booths from Vastex International feature frosted back panels, screen stand-offs and added interior height as standard, it was announced by Mark Vasilantone, president.
Model VWB-3621-AC measures 91.4 cm wide by 53.3 cm deep and fits screens up to 58.4x78.7cm.
Model VWB-5121-AC measures 129.5cm wide by 53.3cm deep and fits one 119.4x78.7cm screen, or two 58.4x78.7cm screens. Translucent acrylic back panels permit the addition of backlighting for thorough inspection of the screen surface being reclaimed. The height of both models has been increased by 5 cm to 168 cm to accommodate taller screens. Constructed of stainless steel, both models are equipped with screen stand-offs that hold screens in place during wash- down, and 7.5 cm wide squeegee shelves. An optional vacuum tool removes excess water from screens for quick drying. Model VWB3621-AC is small-package shippable via UPS, DHL and other carriers.
