Magna Colours to carry on the LJ Specialities business

agna Colours has acquired the goodwill and inventory of LJ Specialities,


following the recent


announcement on the closure of the business.


The LJ team led by Andy Lee will transition to employment with Magna Colours and will


immediately support the transition to Magna. The transition will come with challenges and opportunities for Magna, the LJ employees, customers and suppliers, but with goodwill and efforts on all sides a smooth continuation of service will be created.

our Embroidery Services Ltd has welcomed a new apprentice to the company. Matthew Brown, 16, will be working alongside highly skilled instructors who will help to instil the skills and knowledge required to excel in technical engineering. Also joining the company is Ryan Lee-Storey, 21, who joins as a junior technician.


Roy Burton, managing director, said: “We are very excited to be investing in the exciting new training programme. A lot of the workforce in the textile industry have retired and as a result, skills have been lost. “We are trying to prevent a further loss by recruiting young staff into our company,

appointed MKRAK as its new distributor in Canada. MKRAK will launch the Spring/ Summer 2019 collection. The company boasts a team of


professionals with over 30 years' experience in sales, marketing and distribution in the Canadian golf market. allowing them to grow into highly-skilled technicians able to install, train, and service our customers of tomorrow. “Here at YES Ltd, it is our belief that companies must share the responsibility of creating and maintaining strong training programmes in order to keep the industry alive and kicking for the future generations to come.” To meet this goal, the company intends to take on one or two apprentices each year. The team will guide these new apprentices through a training cycle of five to seven years in order to give them the time to become confident, skilled technicians ready to take care of important customers.

All previous orders placed with LJ Specialities will be supplied from LJ and managed with no change with respect to delivery or payment.


All future orders will be managed and delivered from Magna Colours which is based in Barnsley, UK.


Existing contact details for the LJ Specialities team will remain the same.
