TheMagicTouch, Resolute DTG and Ricoh form strategic partnership
I
t was confirmed last month that TheMagicTouch, Resolute DTG and Ricoh have joined forces to bring to the UK market three new direct to garment printers.
The Ricoh Ri 3000, Ri 6000 and Ri 100 models offer a comprehensive range that caters for both affordable entry level through to industrial production level capability.
Launched in May last year, the Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 can print on T shirts in as little as 27 seconds. The Ri 100 was launched at the beginning of 2018 and puts a DTG printer on your desktop with its small footprint. Jim Nicol, MD of TheMagicTouch, said: “The partnership with Resolute is the perfect platform for both companies to develop the ever increasing
personalisation market. The collective strength of sales and marketing combined with expert technical knowledge and experience ensures the ultimate in customer support and user satisfaction. “For the past 12 years we have considered and evaluated many of the different DTG printer options available but confirm the Ricoh range is the only product that ticks all the boxes and we were prepared to commit to.” Colin Marsh, MD of Resolute DTG, added: “Bringing Ricoh to the UK is an exciting opportunity. Partnering with Ricoh and TheMagicTouch can only raise the bar for DTG across the UK and Europe.” Resolute will display all three models in its showroom in Chesterfield, while TheMagicTouch will only show the Ri 100 at its premises in Dunstable.

Wild Thang launches new website
T
o celebrate the creation of its new website, Wild Thang hosted an official launch party at Avenue HQ in Liverpool on May 11. The event was attended by a mix of important clients, suppliers and the Wild Thang team. The new website focuses on being a helpful resource filled with inspirational ideas, trends, innovative products, latest market research and the very best advice the industry has to offer, becoming a world class solution for creative branded clothing, merchandise and print. Andrew Dwerryhouse, Wild Thang, MD, said: “This is another incredibly important moment in the companyʼs 22-year history, this has been an important and large investment for the company in both time and money which we hope will place us in the elite of our industry and to be a genuine catalyst for the future growth of Wild Thang.
“I am proud and relieved that after two years of planning to have finally gone live with the new website, just a few little stats the new website has circa 30,000 words of original content, hundreds of original photographs and graphic icons and maybe more importantly tens of thousands easy to navigate products so itʼs a genuinely big moment and think we have created something special and standout within our industry. “It was really nice to be able to thank all the people involved in the project over that time in person at the launch, without them it simply would not have been possible.”
