ith lockdown measures inspiring many to focus on their overall health and wellbeing, Stylight registered a 55% increase in clicks on sportswear compared to 2019.

It should then come as no surprise that with the stresses and strifes that 2020 has brought that the sport that has gained the most popularity is yoga. Stylight registered a 300% rise clicks on yoga versus 2019. Yoga is not only great for overall health and relaxation, but is something that can easily be done in the living room. Plus, yoga pants are also great for lounging around on the sofa too. Outdoor activities such as hiking and running also increased in popularity during 2020, which again are optimal sports for stress-release in isolation.

These trends were also confirmed by personal training app Freeletics; the results from the app’s 2020 survey showed that 19% of respondents tried yoga for the first time during lockdown, 36% discovered running, while 29% opted for hiking.

This data was based on the analysis of the purchasing behaviour of Stylight’s 12 million monthly users across its international platforms.
