Ricoh launches next generation direct to garment printer

icoh is responding to the needs of the modern garment decorator for heightened productivity, best-in-class operation and ease of use with the launch of the Ricoh Ri 2000 direct to garment (DTG) printer. The Ricoh Ri 2000 prints 1200x1200dpi resolution on a wide range of garments, from traditional T shirts or tote bags to an extended application range of canvas shoes, baseball caps or long sleeve shirts. It also supports the production of textile face masks and safety vests via the flexibility of the quick-change magnetic platen mechanism and the automatic table height adjustment that easily switches between garment types. The ZT-1900 enables reduced delivery times while delivering high-quality work to the most demanding customers with fast printing speeds – 220sq m/hr in draft mode and 150sq m/hr in production mode – and a mirrored CMYK configuration for increased productivity. An integrated infrared dryer means quick drying, and a 5kg ink container capacity enables fast finishing, while high levels of automation allow 24-hour production. The control software included on the printer means that ripped files can be printed again and again to allow reprinting of the same jobs quickly and easily.
Four high-precision double-channel Kyocera print heads deliver fine detailed text, superior image quality and vibrant solid colours. Roland's high-density dye sublimation inks produce a wide colour gamut and are compatible with coated and uncoated paper for production versatility. For extra flexibility the ZT-1900 also handles lightweight paper (>18gr/sq m) and large paper rolls up to 450kg to reduce paper cost and increase printing time without stops. astex has introduced an all-new, low-cost CraftPrinter Model V-10 screen printing press for one-colour garments, promotional items, signage or other flat products. It accepts screens up to 58x78 cm and incorporates registration features typically unavailable on low-cost tabletop presses including all-steel construction, a no-warp steel pallet, floating head, three-point bearing lock, and screen off-contact and leveling adjustments. The compact unit measures 35.9x72.4cm and weighs 11.4 kg, making it portable. Options include a neck guide and rubber top for the included pallet, and a variety of specialised pallets for sleeves, youth-size garments, oversized garments, face masks, small signs, insulated can holders and other promotional items. For higher production and/ or multi-colour capability, the interchangeable print head, pallets and wheel lock assembly of the one-station/ one-colour V-10 press can be transferred to the rotary frame of the company’s V-100 model to build a two-, three- or four-colour press at reduced cost when needs increase.
Covered by a one-year warranty, the CraftPrinter press is shippable via UPS and comes with easy- to-follow instructions.
