Kornit expands partnership with Amazon K
ornit Digital has signed an expanded agreement with Amazon that will triple its sales to the online retailer.
Over the next five years, Amazon has committed to buying $250 million in existing Kornit products (digital printers, inks and services) and $150 million in future products. The deal totals $400 million. Until now, Amazon has used Kornit products only for its Merch by Amazon service, which enables independent designers to sell products like personalised T shirts, with Amazon handling production, shipping and collection. The company now wants to expand its digital-printed offerings to housewares and sports equipment, and will use Kornit's new Presto printer, that can be used to print upholstery and bedspreads.
Amazon launched its first Merch by Amazon facility in 2015, followed by a second one in 2017. In July 2019, the online retailer received approval for an inkjet printing facility in Utah.
U
K and Ireland Mimaki distributor, Hybrid Services has appointed Brett Newman as its first managing director.
Having held the role of chief operations manager at the company since 2017, Mr Newman’s promotion sees him take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business along with increased involvement in the company’s strategic direction. A print industry veteran, Mr Newman has worked at all levels of reseller, manufacturer and distributor organisations with experience across technical, sales and marketing roles. Hybrid director, Peter Mitchell, said: “Appointing Brett as our first managing director is a key strategic decision for Hybrid as the company enters its 25th year in the print industry.
And in August, Amazon announced it will be adding a new Merch by Amazon on-demand printing and fulfilment facility outside of Pheonix, as part of a huge expansion that will see it build 11 other new sites in the area.

Listawood has reported a huge surge in demand for AntiBug products
istawood is reporting a surge in demand for its innovative and patent protected range of anti-microbial
drinkware.
Sold under the AntiBug trademark, the company first launched this range of products back in 2012; responding to well-publicised concerns about the transfer of pathogens in busy settings such as hospitals and care homes as well as in the corporate environment. During the past eight years, Listawood has extended the lines available with this treatment now available on a comprehensive range of the most popular drinkware items including ceramic mugs, stainless steel thermal bottles and coffee-to-go cups and tumblers.
AntiBug coated surfaces start to fight bacteria as soon as they come into contact with the product and the process has been clinically proven to kill 99.9% of harmful bacteria within a 24-hour period. AntiBug products withstand repeated cleaning cycles while maintaining anti-bacterial effectiveness.
