The Schoolwear Show Preview Q Q Q

If a visitor is understandably nervous about attending the exhibition in the current climate, what COVID-19 safety measures have you put in place to reassure them? A The venue Cranmore Park has recently issued an update with regards to its COVID secure arrangements. As with many events taking place all over the country the use of the NHS COVID Passport or a negative lateral flow test result will be required to enter the show. In the venue enhanced cleaning is in operation together with hand sanitising stations.

Furthermore, Cranmore Park has recently been awarded the ‘Good to Go’ certification by Visit England, which means that the venue has followed Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of visitors and exhibitors.

Q

Is there an appetite for the exhibition in the schoolwear industry at the moment? What’s the general feeling among schoolwear retailers and suppliers? A. Early registrations suggest that there is indeed an appetite for the show. Retailers have been in isolation for a long time, not able to meet other like-minded people, or in many cases their suppliers and The Schoolwear Show gives them that opportunity, and they are very much looking forward to the show.

How has the COVID-19 pandemic impacted upon the schoolwear industry? Is it making a return to

pre-pandemic levels? A Everything has been impacted by COVID and the schoolwear industry is no exception. However, we are very lucky because of the trade that we are in, and the timing of lockdowns, that we have managed to trade throughout our busiest periods both last year and this year. However, both retailers and suppliers have had to overcome some huge obstacles during COVID, but have managed to do this with pragmatism and a willingness to work together to get through these tough times.

Is there anything else about The Schoolwear Show that you’d like to tell our readers?

A Yes! Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet your suppliers in person and also to be able to network with hundreds of other retailers.
