William Turner New bottles and backpacks


At this year’s Schoolwear Show, William Turner will be showcasing its brand new range of Therma (metal) water bottles. There is something for everyone from the 20 designs available, a mix of plains and vibrant patterns. 500ml capacity and vacuum sealed to keep drinks hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours. A counter-top display stand is also available. New into it bag range for 2021 is the lightweight (570gms) Eco Backpack in three popular school colours (black, grey and navy) – capacity 18 litres.


Made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic bottles (minimum 15 bottles per bag), the outer polyester fabric is both hard-wearing and water repellent.


Not only stylish in its design, the bag has a host of special features including an inner scrim lined pocket suitable for a laptop, additional zipped pockets, discreet refl ective piping, back padding for comfort and a side water bottle pocket. The front pocket panel is also ideal for decoration with a school or club logo.

Banner Eco uniform range expands


As part of its sustainability journey, schoolwear supplier Banner is expanding its Eco range with even more eco-friendly products. After launching the Eco Tartan collection in 2021, Banner is excited to introduce even more of its popular products to the Eco offering. With over 50 transitioning products, the Eco range uses a mix of sustainable and responsibly sourced materials and works to save plastic bottles from reaching landfi ll and the ocean. Just one of Banner’s Eco Ziggys Blazers saves an incredible 48 plastic bottles from going to waste. Banner’s 2022 Eco product offer refl ects the supplier’s ambition to lead in sustainability and drive change. Sarah Robins, sustainability manager, said: “Our approach sits alongside our sustainability values, to reduce waste and avoid making our stock obsolete. We will continue to sell through our current product until we can smoothly transition through to our new eco stock – ensuring nothing goes to waste.” In further developments, Banner is now a proud member of The Better Cotton Initiative – the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world with aims to make global cotton production better for the farmers who produce it, the environment it grows in and for the sector’s future.
