David Luke 42 million plastic bottles saved from landfill
David Luke’s sustainable journey continues with its eco-uniform range reaching more milestones in 2021. First to the schoolwear market with its Eco-Shirts and blouses in the spring, this latest offer pushes the already extensive eco offering of blazers, jackets, trousers, shorts, skirts, polos and sweats, even further. These new products contain 3.5 plastic bottles, with the polyester content of each shirt and blouse style 100% recycled.
Since its eco-uniform launch 11 years ago and with this newest addition, David Luke will prevent 42 million plastic bottles from going to landfi ll, plus the production of its recycled polyester will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 32%.
But the innovation doesn’t end there. This past year has seen David Luke focus on improving the impact its packaging also makes. Swing ticket quantity has been reduced across all ranges meaning less waste and 100% recycled and recyclable plastic packaging, was introduced on the new Eco-Shirt and blouse range.
