If you’ve written a helpful article or product page that answers that exact question, congratulations, you’re now on their shortlist.

Google looks at how trustworthy others think you are. Get listed in directories like Yell or local business groups. Ask happy customers to leave Google reviews. Collaborate with influencers, suppliers, or even clients to link back to your site.
Quick wins for decorators • Write one ‘how-to’ blog per month – like ‘How to prep your artwork for screen printing’ or ‘Best garments for sports team printing’.
• Update your top service pages with clearer headlines, keyword-rich descriptions, and FAQs.
• Identify five long-tail keywords your customers actually search for. Use free tools like ‘Answer The Public’ or Google Autocomplete to find them.
• Ask for backlinks – a customer’s testimonial with a link to your site is SEO gold.
Start simple, stay consistent
