David Sharp’s print revolution From stitches to prints: A legacy of innovation

Europe’s top embroidery digitiser launches trade-only print on-demand service with unbeatable prices and pro-level automation.

F

or almost 50 years, David Sharp has been synonymous with top-tier embroidery digitising. But now, the industry icon is turning the page with a new chapter: a groundbreaking print on-demand (POD) service designed exclusively for the trade. Taking the huge positives of DTF printing and packaging it into a game changing print on-demand service.

“Our goal was to let smaller businesses compete with the giants – and win,” says Dominic Bunce, director. Launching this month, the new DTF POD platform promises fast, easy ordering and pricing that beats even the biggest high-volume DTG (direct to garment printing) factories. In February 2024 David Sharp launched DS GRID. A trade only service offering its customers DTF and UV DTF printed transfers – ready to be heat applied to garment. With unbelievable pricing and fantastic quality and durability it’s no surprise that customers have quicky taken the service to their hearts. Its growth shows no stopping – currently DS GRID is printing over 600 metres of DTF transfers per day. With all orders placed before midday being shipped the very same day! “Our customers are loving the vibrant prints and the consistency that using only KODAK inks and premium hot peel films provides,” says Dominic. At only £6.80 per metre, no matter the volume ordered, it’s not hard to see why David Sharp’s DTF service has been taken up by so many.

“We keep our prices low so every business, big or small, can succeed,” adds Jamie Hood, director.
