Focus on Wide Format Printing Marathon Threads

Wide format products for digital printing

Marathon’s superb range of digital fi lms for transfers is high on quality and competitively priced.

Its best seller is Invite Light an 80 micron product. The process of printing, cutting, weeding and adding application tape is smooth and easy.

There is no drying time after printing allowing the transfers to be applied immediately saving on production time. The bright white surface produces clean crisp transfers.

Do you supply sportwear? Its Digital Sublistop prevents bleed through on sublimated garments and it works!

With spiralling business costs, Marathon can also recommend two products to help bring those costs down. Both are available on 75cm width rolls.

Digital Dragon is Marathon’s economy PVC fi lm at 100 microns. Digital One is Marathon’s heavier weight fi lm for larger transfers and can be applied by hand without the need for application tape, reducing cost and saving time.

Roland DG

Award-winning performance for wide format printing

The Roland DG TrueVIS XP-640 delivers a powerful combination of speed, colour accuracy and reliability, setting a new standard in wide format eco-solvent printing.

Engineered for high-volume print environments, it consistently produces high-resolution output at speeds of up to 76.1m sq/hr. Two staggered print heads and precision droplet control allow for rich, detailed graphics with fewer passes, ensuring exceptional effi ciency without compromising quality.

Recognised by Keypoint Intelligence with a 2025 BLI Pick Award for ‘Outstanding Gamut Expansion Eco-Solvent/ Latex 54in/ 64in Printer’, the XP-640 stands out globally for its superior image quality, colour accuracy and performance. Independent testing confi rmed its ability to reproduce complex brand colours with remarkable precision, achieving an average Delta E00 of just 2.1 across 15 diffi cult Pantone shades. This makes it the fi rst printer to score under Delta E00 4.0 for all colours in Keypoint’s evaluations.

Roland DG TrueVIS XP-640

Designed with usability in mind, the printer features automatic media gap adjustment, a 7in touchscreen interface and a new perforated sheet cut function. The automatic take-up system streamlines media handling, while the included VersaWorks RIP software and compatibility with Roland DG Connect provide robust workfl ow management and operational insights.
