Children's Family Rides
Flexibility and quality the key
Simtec Systems explains to Park World key trends they’re seeing, and just what customers need from a simulator or ride
Trends The trend we can see is to provide turnkey high- quality solutions in motion-based simulators, dark rides and flying theaters. High quality AV systems, screens and media should be included – and also the size of the simulator attractions should be variable. For example we offer our Flying Theaters HEXaFLITE from 20 to 72 passengers and developed the HEXaFLITE mini for 4, 8 and 10 passengers. Our motion-based FUNRIDE simulators can be offered from 2 – 100
passengers. We now see more need for mid-size and smaller systems to fit into venues with smaller dimensions. Another trend is that the use of IPs is getting
more and more interesting for amusement parks and other attraction locations. With supplying systems with IP license customers do not need further interfaces and can get everything from us. Customers only need to provide the building and Simtec, together with partners, delivers the system turnkey.
STAGING Staging, the ride environment, is very important. Children in particular but also young people and adults, are immersed in another world when they visit the attractions. Of course, this is made even more intense by beautiful theming.
Happy Valley Chongqing In July 2021, the large-scale dynamic theater “Jett Mountain City Pursuit” officially opened in the world’s first Super Wings theming area in Chongqing Happy Valley, China. The entire dynamic motion theater project was designed by Simtec for Chongqing Happy Valley. The guests enter the storyline with a thrilling flight
over Chongqing City, especially the Liangjiang New District, where Chongqing Happy Valley is located. Three different Super Wings characters can be chosen for the ride. Simtec delivered the three FUNRIDE large-scale
Scruffy Dog and Simtec create trackless dark ride Scruffy Dog Creative and Simtec Systems have created a new immersive trackless Dark Ride featuring the popular Mattel IP, Fisher Price. The dark ride initial narrative and concept has been developed by Scruffy Dog Creative
Group, who will also be responsible for the theming and realisation. Simtec will deliver their first ever trackless ride system, along with the technology and chassis. Simtec’ s trackless ride system has the capacity for 6 to 9 people. With a modular and
adaptable design, the system can scale up or down depending on the client’s budget. It also offers flexibility in terms of vehicle designs, on-board SPX, and interactive elements. Scruffy Dogs CEO Joe Bright says: “Teaming up with Mattel and Simtec is a fantastic
collaboration. The ride system can be designed to work with all the various iconic Fisher Price themes which gives our clients options and variations.” Simtec Business Development Director, Andreas Stickel says: “Simtec is thrilled to have the
opportunity to work in a partnership with Scruffy Dog Creative Group and Mattel. This is a huge advantage for clients worldwide as we can deliver a first-class IP attraction as a turnkey solution including the ride system, design & theming, media, décor, and licensing fees.”
6-DOF hydraulic motion simulators with 21 seats each including 4 fully automatic docking systems to guarantee a fast load and unload process. The theming ride vehicles are equipped with special effects such as wind, water and fragrance. Simtec also equipped the theater with an ultra-high-definition audio and 3D video system to create an all-round immersive experience.
