Matt: What is the company focused on right now? Benoit: We always work on multiple types of rides at the same time; this maximizes our creativity. One of our key focuses today is the launch of our new Rogue Rides trackless system. It’s an omnidirectional ride system packed with advanced technologies. Because it is trackless, installation is easier, layouts are flexible, and operations are streamlined with minimal staff and maintenance requirements. The vehicles can be themed to fit any story, and thanks to induction charging, they operate continuously without manual recharging. The mecanum wheels also enable unique, fluid movements that really enhance the storytelling possibilities. The first vehicles are now in production, and we’re very excited to bring this innovative product to market. The Spinfinity coaster and especially this new unique “Splash version” is keeping us very busy as well. There are a lot of exciting new things to discover from our work.


Benoit: The IAAPA Expo was a major success for us. We announced two exciting new projects: A custom media dark ride for Hunderfossen Family Park in Norway, which will use our Rogue Rides vehicles for an immersive experience blending storytelling and motion. The Spinfinity Splash Coaster, set to open in a French water park in 2028, is


the water version of our Spinfinity Coaster, featuring inward-facing vehicles for a shared, social experience. It’s going to be a wet and fun ride for the whole family! Those two products really represent the core DNA of BoldMove, taking the best practices in the global industry (and that is beyond entertainment) and using our creativity and know how to make them products like you have never seen before.


Matt: You personally received the Park World Excellence Awards’ Industry Icon award last year. How did it feel to receive that award? Benoit: It was a real honour. Throughout my career, my mission has been to make high-quality, immersive attractions accessible to regional theme parks and family destinations, always keeping the fun and sense of discovery alive. I believe attractions should surprise and inspire curiosity rather than simply explain themselves. Receiving that award felt like recognition that our approach in creating meaningful family experience has truly made an impact.


Matt: What do you think will be the new developments that shape the industry over the next few years? Benoit: At the risk of sounding like many other people on the market I think the “personification” of the rides is a key development. The emergence of a very “me-centric” culture, cultivated by social networks in the younger population is generating a lasting demand for rides that you do not need to interact with because they are interacting with you. The use of self-guiding ride vehicles, the use of variants of AI such as autonomous agents & machine learning will generate attractions that are really suiting the clients better than ever. This being said, the amusement industry is quite traditional, and we are starting a trend that will probably live on for years and years.


Matt: You made some announcements at the recent Barcelona IAAPA; can you summarise the key activity there from BoldMove?

Matt: What can we expect from BMN in the next 12 months? Benoit: At BoldMove, we never stand still. Over the next year, we’ll continue to expand our work on the Smash & Reload dark ride, Spinfinity Coaster, and Rogue Rides system, with new installations in development. We also see significant growth opportunities in emerging markets, and we’re excited to bring our creative energy and innovations to new audiences around the world.
