THIS MONTH’S COVER SHOT: November 2024 marks Triotechʼs 25th anniversary. For a quarter of a century the company has been designing, developing, and manufacturing attractions and rides for the global leisure and entertainment market. One competitor once labelled Triotech as “Pirates” or “Rebels” (which the company takes as a compliment!). 25 years on, the company continues to push to break the status quo with best- in-class innovations.

personally excited as it’ll be my first show since joining the magazine as Editor at the start of 2024. We celebrate the show with a quick preview of some of the key names in attendance as well as bringing you our usual updates on some of the key movers and shakers in the attractions sector. I appreciate that those of you with OCD will be trembling as I talk my way through the magazine in a random order, but I’m sick of those people who think you have to work your way from the start to the back. It’s 2024 people – embrace the chaos! Anyway, it does mean I have to go back and mention the delightful Susan Storey and her Park Hoppin’ column which this month celebrates generation after generation of families visiting some of the older parks.

Our cover stars this month are the smart cookies over at Triotech who celebrate their 25th year in the industry. Founder and CEO, Ernest Yale, takes us through the years.

Our Industry Insider is Simworx’s Terry Monkton, who talks us through his fascinating journey from accountancy to Flying Theatres… and beyond! There’s more in the issue that I simply don’t have the time to spell out for you (if only there was a contents page. Oh, how convenient. There is!) Anyway, I hope you enjoy the issue. I also look forward to bumping into you in Amsterdam. Come and say hello if you can!
