Park World’s Matt Broughton spoke to Simworx’s CEO, Terry Monkton, about the journey from accountancy to Flying Theatres and beyond.

Matt Broughton: For those not in the know, can you tell us a bit about your personal background and how you came to be at Simworx. Terry Monkton.: I originally trained as an Accountant, and from the age of 18 to 27, I worked predominantly for large engineering groups such as GKN and FKI in the Midlands area. In 1997, a friend of mine who was an Area Director for a large bank, approached me and said that he had
a customer who was looking for a Finance Director for a new startup company that was going to manufacture entertainment motion simulators. His requirements in running a company
MB: changed since then? TM: capacity (max 16 seats) our market was limited to mainly Museums and the Corporate Promotion sector. In 2004 we did a custom project in the USA that make this a standard product, which - with a newfound scalability - opened up the

MB: What do you think are the key attributes that need to be ticked off the list to ensure the best entertainment in attractions?
