Brazil: expanding parks
2019 brings new projects in renowned parks in Latin America. Brazil and Mexico continue at the forefront, followed by Colombia. Brazil is in full expansion, as assured by local businessmen, who want to make the most of the reduction of tariffs for the import of equipment. Because of the measure adopted by the Brazilian government, the Sindepat (Integrated System of Parks and Tourist Attractions of Brazil) estimates that investments in the amusement park sector will be truly important. However, the resurgence of the industry in Brazil is
also related to the adoption of new marketing strategies. Astrid González Nariño reports.
Beto Carrero: investment and strategies Beto Carrero is the largest park in Latin America, with 14 million square metres of extension, of which only 22 percent have been built, according to the most recent figures, mainly to protect the local vegetation, called "Atlantic Rainforest" " In fact, the Beto Carrero World has an area of more
than 3 million square meters of preserved Atlantic forest, inhabited by hundreds of animals and species of flora, which reduces almost 3 thousand kilos of carbon per day, said spokespersons from the company. It is located in the state of Santa Catarina, in the
south of the country, in an area characterized by its beaches and mountains, and registered in 2018 an increase of visitors of 24 percent over 2017. The company is very optimistic about the future in the medium term and after signing strategic alliances with DreamWorks and Hot Wheels, it indicated that it plans to inaugurate a new thematic area by the end of 2019, as well as more attractions that will be added to the 100 mechanical games that currently offers to its guests. empresarios locales, que quieren aprovechar al máximo la reducción de aranceles para la importación de equipos. Como consecuencia de la medida adoptada por el gobierno brasilero, el Sindepat (Sistema Integrado de Parques y Atracciones Turísticas de Brasil) estima que las inversiones en el sector de los parques de atracciones serán verdaderamente importantes.
