Enabled with dynamic crowd control, Vantage also allows

operators to motivate guests to go to the places they want them to visit in the park, increasing dwell time and boosting profitability. At the recent IAAPA Expo, WhiteWater received a Brass

Ring award for Vantage in the Best New Product: Technology Applied to Amusements category. “We were elated to get the Brass Ring Award as it validates our belief in the value that can be reaped from gathering information that can be analysed and integrated to envision the best experience,” project manager, Aaron Mendelson tells Park World. “We’ve created Vantage to be the interface which ties guest experience and operator control together—it is the window to a future of optimised park performance for both.”

New partnerships, new innovations “Being able to see more broadly about how we can help our partners has also been the driving force behind the partnerships we’ve been signing,” says Paul. WhiteWater has partnered with Life Floor to help make water parks everywhere safer; Wiegand Maezler to offer the first rotating water slide, SlideWheel; with Holovis to bring exciting, transformative products to market over the next 12 months and with VR Coaster to build futuristic experiences with VR -

based water slides. The WhiteWater Cirque du Soleil partnership meanwhile will provide an entirely new water entertainment venue experience that “defies existing labels”. “We’re pushing boundaries with rides too,” says CEO

and founder Geoff Chutter “with for example, the introduction a multiplayer gamified water slide that allow riders to control their ride path and the first 360-degree orbiting family raft ride.” Over/Under is a brand-new experience where riders form a team in a family raft and get to have a different outcome according to a gamified experience, which has never been seen before in the industry. “This was a client request,” says Geoff, “and we responded to the brief, creating this one-of- a-kind ride.” Orbiter, last year’s Brass Ring: Best New Concept

recipient, will begin installation in September at OCT Xiangyang in China, while the company’s first installation of its new Tailspin water slide will open this year at Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark in South Carolina, USA. “These innovations showcase the boundless thinking which sets WhiteWater apart,” says Geoff, adding “from our start as a waterpark operator in 1980, we’ve never forgotten why we’re here — to help parks solve problems, create immersive experiences, and delight guests all over the world.”
