with groundbreaking coaster experiences,” said Adam Sandy, roller coaster sales & marketing director. “But even more important than our new concepts, a look ‘under the hood’ showcases what really separates our latest design work from the competition. Cost of ownership drives our engineering philosophy. Features like an aluminum- milled chassis mean that our clients will receive the latest coaster innovation that drives down NDT and maintenance costs in every style of roller coaster we offer- from the Lightning thrill platform down to the Family Coaster.”
These developments are possible due to the investment the company has made in every aspect of the roller coaster business unit. The goal is to create products and experiences as familiar as Zamperla’s legendary family and thrill rides. “It is an exciting time for Zamperla,” said Valerio Ferrari, chief sales officer. “I’m thrilled that we are offering roller coasters that target three key height requirements: 90 cm (36 in), 105 cm (42 in) and 120 cm (48 in). We believe that combining specific ridership demographics with innovative, marketable concepts means that customers will see us as a go-to company for roller coasters.” said Ferrari. Walltopia, a manufacturer of climbing and adventure play attractions showcased a range of new product developments, including the Rollglider Jump&Run, which combines a dual-line racing Rollglider track with obstacles inspired by adventure courses, as well as active entertainment and thrill rides; new models demonstrating the Gamifier. Data shows that the effect of the Gamifier on repetitive visits and loyalty is significant. The company also introduced its new Digital Product Configurators for the Rollglider and Ropes Course, so visitors will be able to configure their project on the kiosk at the Walltopia booth and get a quote on the spot. The configurators allow customers to customise everything – from

straightforward features like colours and finish to complex ones like supporting structure, desired obstacles or operational preferences. Simworx presented its new Alpine Racer VR attraction that immersive guests in a high-speed alpine sledging experience. Riders can play against each other in the race to get the highest score, which is tracked on the game app’s worldwide scoreboard. Together with its compact design, the attraction provides an affordable solution for small vendors.
The company also showcased The Fly Motion, which combines Simworx’s Immersive Tunnel and Cobra Dark Ride theatres to provide an accessible flying theatre experience that is designed for venues with low ceiling heights. The Fly Motion has a 30-seat capacity and an optional track system, enabling guests to board the attraction in a separate loading area.
The Coca-Cola Company & ValidFill kept the soft drinks flowing throughout the event courtesy of the Freestyle FS9100. The machine offers an unprecedented array of beverage choices in a fun, interactive format. The touchscreen-operated dispenser uses “micro-dosing” technology to deliver
over 100 drink options – including low/zero- calorie beverages and varieties that can’t be found anywhere else. It features a 24-inch, high-definition touchscreen and Bluetooth connectivity, which lets consumers connect to the Freestyle mobile app when they enter an outlet with a machine and cue up their favorite beverage or create a new mix. Freestyle also continues to look for ways to use the innovative platform to support sustainability priorities, such as efforts to reduce packaging waste. Refillable cups, equipped with micro- chipped, ValidFill radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, have recently been introduced for use with Coca-Cola Freestyle machines in a number of theme parks. These refillable cups directly interact with Coca-Cola Freestyle, conveniently providing preset pours. ValidFill uses the magic of RFID technology placed on drink ware to deliver a new level of intelligence and business opportunity to beverage dispensing. Through its patented solution, ValidFill makes it possible to bring a control to your dispensed beverage business and customize a viable prepaid refill program that will generate greater levels of profits, speed of service, guest convenience and profitable sustainability. ValidFill makes it possible to take self-serve dispensed beverages to places you never thought possible. A new contact-less Coca-Cola Freestyle solution called Mobile Pour meanwhile, allows consumers to choose and pour a drink from their phone in just a few seconds, without having to sign up for a membership or download an app. The mobile pour experience works on any smart device. Speaking exclusively to Park World after the event, Jakob Whal, who has since been named executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) IAAPA said: “IAAPA Expo Europe represents a fresh start for our entire industry. We all have a difficult period behind us, but it was our goal and ambition to offer a platform, where everyone can come together again to exchange, to learn from each other, and to see what’s next. That’s the role of IAAPA as an association and IAAPA Expo Europe as the connecting event. This Expo was about preparing for the future, and we felt that the participants took well care of it!”
