The track is precut at The Gravity Group facility by precision CNC equipment to the exact shape determined by the ride design. “The additional strength and precise shape ensure that the track will deliver smooth rides and indefinitely be maintenance friendly. Additionally, this engineered pre-cut track is economical and easy to install in prefabricated pieces with predictable, excellent results,” said Korey Kiepert, engineer and principal. Six hundred feet of this track has been installed on Kings Island’s Racer in 2021. The park’s staff and guests have been vocally exuberant about the new ride experience from the engineered precut track. This new track is now patent pending and will allow The Gravity Group to refurbish classic rides and produce new ones in a way that preserves the experience and integrity of the beloved wooden roller coaster. “We are confident that this will be the new standard for wooden roller coaster track in the not-so-distant future,” said Korey.


Mondial Rides also presented something new. Sales director Sonja Jonkman said: “We were very proud to be able to present our newest innovation: a 40 metre wheel with 30 gondolas for our customer Lunds Tivoli in Norway. And of course, we hope to present our newest built flat ride the Escape to the big audience as soon as possible,” she added.


Dotto Trains was pleased to present the new powerful “Big Boy” 4x4 locomotive, made with a Euro VI Turbo Diesel engine and able to climb slopes of even 25% getting to peak. Attraktion! was excited to give a first teaser of its newest invention PLAYNEO to the industry at this year’s IAAPA Europe. Playneo unites different new game play but also will be able to combine proven experiences by Playoke and Attraktion! GmbH to create a unique gaming universe. Its first product in the PlayNeo universe is Play Cabana, which offers small groups to play together, using Attraktion!’s brand new, interactive handheld devices called Active Shieldz to complete different game levels. Play Cabana is the world first game play integrating interactive devices, touch screen and 3D motion tracking, which makes the whole experience more interactive and fun. There are three foams, and two games are available.


Huss Park Attractions officially launched the Break Dance 5 at the show, a brand new, highly innovative, landmark attraction which follows in the footsteps of the original and hugely successful Break Dance ride.


The design of the new Break Dance 5 is based on the ‘secret Break Dance formula’ that was developed for the original ride, which has become the most successful attraction ever created by HUSS. The combination of size, weight, angles, speed and control – the ‘formula’ – “creates a ride experience which is second to none,” said the company.


Commenting on the addition of the Break Dance 5 to the company’s portfolio, HUSS CEO Mirko J. Schulze said: “The Break Dance has been a highlight of our product range for many years and our most successful ride to date. With the introduction of the Break Dance 5 we have brought the concept right up to date with a brand new design and a host of features that add further to an already very popular ride experience. With the different ride programmes available it is suitable for both families and thrill seekers and


we are confident it will prove a popular choice for operators of all types of parks.”


At a special press event, Jora Vision announced that it had been as the lead creative development partner for Inka Park. Zamperla was excited to bring its updated coaster portfolio to the exhibition. The company had already released specifics about the Double Heart and the Family Coaster Lift/Launch earlier this year via the company’s virtual celebration, Z-Fun Week. However, it had three additional concepts not yet revealed that clients can see in-person at its booth in Barcelona. The company’s roller coaster division has projects of a complexity that were not historically associated with the Zamperla. Installations such as a Junior Coaster at Ferrari World (U.A.E.), the Factory Coaster at Wuxi Sunac Land (China) and Thunderbolt at Mundo Petapa (Guatemala) demonstrate a levelling-up of the company’s coaster quality. In addition, Canal Peak at Yangzhou OCT Fancy City (China) will open soon and promises to be one of the smoothest thrill coasters the company has produced. “I am excited to show the collection of new experiences our team has created over the past year.
