IAAPA Expo Europe www.parkworld-online.com

does not impede on the thrills and enjoyment of our guests. Through IAAPA Expo Europe in Barcelona, we were able to show the world that there is a way to restore operations beyond the pandemic.”

Pierson continued: “The IAAPA Expo, the first in nearly two years, was all about reconnecting. Each meeting began with a ‘how are you really doing?’ People rarely took time for that at other expos. We’ve all experienced a major jolt through this global pandemic. That shared experience built a commonality that I don’t think I fully appreciated until being together with so many other attractions insiders.

“We met people we care about: friends, clients, suppliers and peers. And do so it felt good. But what feels even better? Realising that the challenges each company has overcome has made our industry more innovative, collaborative, and united than ever before.”

“This year’s IAAPA EXPO EUROPE in Barcelona has been great!”, said Vekoma’s Carin Davits, adding: “Everyone within the industry was really looking forward to finally being able to meet in person. We would like to thank all our customers, business relations and friends who visited our booth and a special thanks to the IAAPA EMEA team for the organisation!”

P&P Projects was equally impressed with the show. “It was wonderful to finally have the industry together in one building again, said Rick Spring in ‘t veld. “After two years, this expo provided us at P&P Projects with many interesting conversations; once again, it gave us a great look into the current shape the industry is taking and the exciting prospect of our role in this as a turnkey, design- build partner. From familiar clients to new faces, the expo consisted of lots of concrete plans ready for execution – but also many fresh, original ideas that are eagerly awaiting further development. This resulted in a great balance of topics for us to take part in.

“Themes that stood out to us included the ever-

evolving art of combining modern technology with tangible assets in attractions, as well as brand development opportunities and reimaginations of existing concepts and destinations. Moreover, as a company we continue to innovate our products as the ‘experience economy’ keeps extending its reach across the entire leisure industry, continuously covering new market segments. This also resulted in many interesting conversations at the expo, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We are ever so excited to continue working on these developments with those clients and partners in the future.”

Valeria Rizzo, business development director at Red Raion said: “It’s always great to take part in the IAAPA trade shows, but this year was even more exciting and thrilling because it was the first live event in about 2 years! We had the opportunity to show our visitors an exclusive demo of our newest CGI title for licensing, Moby Dick - Friends to the rescue!, and on the first day of the Expo, we even announced our partnership with SimEx Iwerks for

Escape - Mondial rides

the CGI content production of Frostbite - Dino Island III, the sequel of their successful Dino Island series for their FlyRide.”

“The tradeshow was definitely a fruitful opportunity to catch up with our clients and partners, and we also had the chance to meet several new big players in the industry, with whom we discussed many interesting projects that we are going to announce in the near future,” added Valeria. We’re proud to have been once again a part of this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe and we can’t wait for the next event!”

Sascha Czibulka, executive vice president, Intamin Amusement Rides said: “What a positive surprise, the IAAPA Expo in Barcelona was a really good exhibition for us. It was once again very well organised and it was great to see and experience the good vibes on the show floor. We were positively surprised about the good attendance, especially of the quality, and highly enjoyed being back in the real world. Meeting with our colleagues
