Editor’s comment

Hello readers. Something wonderful has happened; I’ve discovered that upwards of FOUR people are reading my Editor’s Comment! I’ve previously blathered away talking about nothing, safe in the assumption that no one sticks around to read this part of the magazine.

I’m pretty sure my boss Paul does (if only to make sure I’m not

saying anything legally compromising) and designer Tania is forced to look at the words as she manipulates them (but might not be actually taking them in. Hmm… I’m still putting her down as a half count anyway). Then we have very tall Duncan from DRGT who I outed last issue as one of my ‘avid readers’… which prompted none other than the self-titled “Quite Short Andrea” from NOVOMATIC to send an email saying she reads my comments too! To me ‘Quite Short Andrea’ will

always actually be ‘Awesome Jacket Andrea’ thanks to the amazing, embroidered garment she wore the

first time I met her, so I’m going with ‘Quite Short Andrea with the awesome jacket’ as a moniker JUST in case any other quite short Andreas are reading and we later need clarification. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in my 30 years of editing, it’s that you should always plan ahead when naming individual readers. So, if you’re also reading this, why not let me know (along with whatever name you think we should record you as on ‘The List’). Normally I’d now tell you all about this incredible issue of Casino

International, but as I’ve wasted all my word count talking nonsense, you’ll just have to use the contents page like normal people do.

Enjoy the issue!
