iguiendo al ICE Barcelona de fines de enero, nos vamos directo a Latinoamerica donde el sector del juego simplemente no se detiene, y mostrando increíbles visitas de la gente buena de la región en el evento catalán, ahora, justo antes de ir a imprenta, salimos para el SBC Summit Rio 2025, en pleno carnaval carioca. ¡Cosa más grande! Como parte de la lucha contra la ilegalidad, en Colombia, Coljuegos logró el bloqueo de 10.000 páginas web y perfiles de redes sociales que se dedicaban a operar juegos de suerte y azar de forma ilegal y sin pagar los respectivos derechos de explotación.
Es importante mencionar que en el país solo existen 16 portales autorizados para operar apuestas por Internet, los cuales, durante 2024, pagaron alrededor de $435.248 millones por concepto de derechos de explotación. Todos estos recursos fueron transferidos por Coljuegos para fortalecer el régimen subsidiado de Salud del país. Siguiendo la lucha contra el juego ilegal, en Bolivia, la Autoridad del Juego denunció por el delito enriquecimiento ilícito a la administradora de un sitio de juego ilegal, disponiéndose la detención preventiva de la imputada, por. operar un local donde se encontraron 21 máquinas de juego ilegales, además del pago de fianza y multas.
Unas semanas después del evento de Rio, para los días 18 al 20 de marzo, volvemos a la hermosa Buenos Aires para el SAGSE, que ha puesto el cartel de “Todo vendido”, con la gran noticia de que el sector del juego argentino se encuentra resurgiendo agrandes pasos. ¡Alla nos vemos!

ollowing ICE Barcelona at the end of January, we are heading straight to Latin America where the gaming sector just runs and runs. After an incredible turnout of wonderful LatAm people at the Catalunya event, we’re off just before we go to press to SBC Summit Rio 2025, which takes place right in the middle of the Rio Carnival. Wonders never cease! As part of the campaign against illegal gambling in Colombia, Coljuegos successfully blocked 10,000 websites and social media profiles that were operating illegal online casino games without paying for respective exploitation rights.
It is important to note that in that country there are only 16 sites authorized to operate online betting, which during 2024, paid around COL $435,248 million for exploitation rights. All these funds were transferred by Coljuegos to the Health sector to strengthen subsidized health care in the country. Also fighting against illegal gambling, in Bolivia the Gaming Authority – Autoridad del Juego – filed criminal charges against the administrator of an illegal gambling establishment, citing the crime of illicit enrichment, whereupon the local magistrate ordered temporary jail for the accused as well as payment of fines for operating premises where 21 illegal gaming machines were found.
A few weeks after the Rio event, over March 18 to 20 we return to beautiful Buenos Aires for SAGSE, which has put up the “Sold Out!” sign and is also reporting great news on the resurgence of the Argentine gaming sector. See you all, there!
