G2E 2019 REVIEW

extended life of a further three years, available until at least 2022. Stephen Turnbull, of AMD’s Embedded Solutions unit, explained to Casino International: “We sell embedded graphics products across a number of markets, with key markets for these new products being high-end casino gaming, medical imaging where we’re using the process or the graphics processor for image processes as opposed to image rendering, doing noise cancellation, noise reduction, echo cancellation, and so on. And of course, retail and high-end signage are key markets for us. At G2E we are showing two new products; we have a good-better-best setup up with our embedded graphics portfolio and we are adding two new parts, the E3990 and the E9560. “This expands our form factor offering,

expands our performance and gives customers more options in terms of performance power optimisations. Our low-end cards are 4GB and they’re 50 watts and below; at the high end we only have the MXM offering. These new cards are both PCI Express cards we’re bringing. The 9560 expands our performance by 11 per cent at the top end and it’s a 130-watt card. And the 9390 is a 75-watt card, so it fits nicely between the 9550 and the 9560 which are 95 and 50 watts respectively, so customers who want more performance than 50 watts but can’t quite get up to up to 100, it gives another option.”

2E LAS VEGAS 2019 has been an outstanding show edition for Abbiati Casino Equipment.

The company saw a high number of

attendees during all days of the show coming from all over the world, but the visitors coming to booth #3423 were exceptionally relevant from the whole Americas, therefore not only from US market, but many from Central, South America and the Caribbean. On show was American Roulette – 18,

developed by game inventor Stephen Au- Yeung and distributed worldwide by Abbiati, bringing a new and exciting variation to the traditional game of roulette. It has a positive house percentage and is fun and different for the player. This product was very much appreciated at the ICE show in London and at G2E Asia, too. A key product for Abbiati was the

Performant K-Light Laser Wheel, a new and very innovative product. Its new ball track profile enables roulette wheels to achieve higher level of performance with increased security. Developed specifically to achieve low noise level, every spin of the ball has a smooth and almost silent rotation, making this wheel one of a kind.

The fact that all table configurations can now be done in the Cage, and our ability to now do FOREX transactions in cash at individual Tables was really well received, as was the ability for Tables players to now be able to cash out directly to their player card at the Table. Alfredo: I concur. Our Tables Management System now really does seem to be worlds apart from our competitors so that was encouraging to my customers too. Then in respect of our new drReelBonus that

Alex referred to; it did what we hoped and generated a really fresh take in surprising and delighting players with a really fun reward option. The flexibility of the bonus game in terms of RTP, as well as actual rewards options like loyalty points or food and beverage vouchers was indeed ‘a hit’.

Q: Alfredo, I saw a lot of visitors to the booth glued to BlackJack11’s. Is its success continuing? Alfredo: In Mexico, for sure. The fact that the game is so easy to play, and is so fast, with a minimal effect on the normal blackjack game speed continues to intrigue Mexican operators, and more importantly their players.

Q: Jackpots remain one of DRGT’s core products, and in particular your configuration options, and shared jackpot functionality. Can you tell me a little more about these? Jurgen: We currently provide probably the largest selection of jackpot configuration options in the world; what I’m referring to here are options for operators to have jackpots based specifically on average bet parameters for example, as well as jackpots tailored exclusively for specific loyalty levels, and jackpots that can be configured for specific times of the day and/or days of the week to name a few. These parameters can then also be combined, for example: a specific jackpot for silver card players only, offered every Monday in October between 10am and midday. Add to that the fact that the actual jackpot could be paid in cash, promotional credits or raffle tickets, and we really are able to provide operators with a significant player reward arsenal.

ay too much product to go into detail here, though a couple of standouts are really worth mentioning. The

Silent Hill slots are just gorgeous, Konami has nailed the atmosphere that made the original game series so consistently appealing. Under the game banner are the titles Silent Hill Escape, and Silent Hill Return. Escape follows prisoner-turned-protagonist Murphy Pendleton as he seeks to navigate the
