URUGUAY – Casinos del Estado generan US$640 millones

a Dirección General de Casinos ha reportado millonarios ingresos en sobre los resultados obtenidos en el período 2009-2018, cuando la utilidad líquida
acumulada y transferida es del orden de los 642 millones de dólares y la rentabilidad promedio del período, de un 30 % de esa suma; añadiendo que se desarrollaron inversiones en tragamonedas, tecnología, equipamiento y mejoras de locales por más de 82 millones de dólares, quedando para el gobierno más de cien millones de dólares. El Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas dijo en su informe que el nivel de inversión modernizó de forma integral a toda su dimensión comercial y administrativa sin comprometer las transferencias a esa secretaría de Estado y otros menores beneficiarios. El análisis muestra que en 2009 la Dirección General de
Casinos contaba con 1.129 funcionarios y en 2019, con un total de 1.035 trabajadores. Se registró una disminución significativa para un período con el incremento en la cantidad de establecimientos, la ampliación de locales y la mejora de los servicios brindados por la oficina central, con el desarrollo del Centro de Liquidación del Área Comercial y el Centro de Operación y Monitoreo del Sector Seguridad del organismo.

he Director General of government owned Casinos del Estado has reported millionaire revenue on the results obtained for the period 2009-2018, when
accumulated and transferred gross income was in the order of US$642 million, and the average net return for the period was at of 30% of that sum; making investment in slots, technology, equipment plus upgrades of more than US$82 million allocated to development, and with more than US$100 million retained by the government. The Ministry of Economy and Finance said in its report that the level of investment in state casinos has been comprehensive modernizing its entire commercial and administrative dimensions without compromising transfers to the State Department and other smaller beneficiaries. The financial analysis shows that in 2009 the
Directorate General of Casinos had 1,129 staff and in 2019 a total of 1,035 workers. There was a significant decrease for a period of time, before the increase in the number of gaming establishments, expansion of premises, and the improvement of services provided by Head Office, including the development of the Commercial Area Settlement Centre and Casinos del Estado’s Operations and Monitoring Centre in the Security department.
