Essential adds to growing brassware portfolio

ssential Bathrooms has strengthened its portfolio once again following the introduction of a new range of
brassware. Essential – Ideal Bathrooms’ private label brand – has added Francis
Pegler by Essential brassware, to complement its collection of bathroom suites. With more than 60 SKUs in the range, offering round, square or
traditional designs, the collection offers something for every style of bathroom. Andrew Cotterill, category manager of Essential, said: “We’re delighted
to be able to bring the prestigious Francis Pegler name to the Essential brand. “The Francis Pegler range combines style with practicality. Products are
designed, developed and manufactured using the best materials available, with stringent quality control standards to ensure outstanding reliability and the assurance of a long and robust working life.” The brassware
range comprises taps and showers in eight designs, all named after Peruvian lakes and rivers, offering a choice of sleek round styles, stylish square options and traditional looks. The range is available in two finishes; Chrome and Matt Black, to suit the design of any bathroom. Furthermore, all brassware is WRAS approved, Unified Water Label
rated and comes with a 10-year guarantee. Andrew said: “Following the successful launch of our Montana range of

Hosted by UWLA – Industry comes together to talk water matters
UWLA CEO Yvonne Orgill. The conference which brought together representatives from different

sectors to explore how the bathroom industry can work together, to better inform customers about using water efficiently, was attended by an international audience of over 150 delegates. “We are delighted with the support for our first Water Matters event,”
says Yvonne. “The audience was diverse representing manufacturers, associations, retailers, distributors and media from Europe as well as further afield from Australia and the USA. “The conference included a mix of panel discussions and presentations
with a keynote speaker, which kept the audience fully engaged, with most attending for the full ninety minutes. “It was clear from the presentations and the questions asked that there
is wide spread support for the Unified Water Label and the need to promote the benefits of using water wisely. “We believe that everyone has a part to play in making responsible
water-saving choices. If those involved in designing, manufacturing, selling, installing and purchasing water using bathroom products, all work together to help each other, and consumers understand the issues around water scarcity, then we can drive home the message that for the sake of the planet we must use water wisely. “Our guest speaker Ben Keene concluded the conference with a
passionate look at how we can all work together to put water back at the centre of life. “He asked the bathroom industry to come together and be creative in
meeting this challenge. He suggested that it is necessary to be bold in order to help people understand the impact of their water consumption, and nudge them towards positive behaviour change. “Our #dontforgettheplug marketing campaign is also addressing this
