TTA Holds Another Successful TTA Awards Evening
T
he 2023 Awards returned to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, a special venue which reflects the special
occasion.
This year’s Awards were held under the theme of ‘Shaping the Future’ to reflect TTA’s ongoing modernisation and leadership of the industry. The evening was hosted by Mike Bushell, who performed his duties flawlessly, briefly discussing his experiences as a presenter on BBC Breakfast TV. Mike was also great at engaging with the audience - playing a game in which they would have to guess whether a bizarre sport was real or made up.
TTA would like to express thanks to this year’s 16 Gold sponsors. The record number of sponsors highlights how our industry is thriving, with the Awards a symbol of TTA’s continued strength and growth. So thank you to all of this year’s Gold sponsors: Amber Underfloor Heating, Banks & Lloyd Ltd, BIHUI, Genesis Global Systems Ltd, JACKOBOARD®, Mapei (UK) Ltd, Palace Chemicals Ltd, Polyfab Coatings & Systems Ltd (PCS), Shackerley (Holdings) Group Ltd, STS Ltd, Tile Mountain Ltd, Topps Tiles Plc, UltraTile (Instarmac Group plc), Verona Group, W.B. Simpson & Sons Ltd and Weber. TTA Chair Paul Luff discussed the Awards evening, stating: “This year’s Awards evening was once again a night to remember. Our theme of ‘Shaping the Future’ combined a celebration of everything that is great about our industry with our vision for the future”. “Congratulations to all the Award winners, as well as those who were ‘Highly Commended’. On behalf of TTA, I express our thanks to the judges, sponsors and everyone involved in making TTA Awards a continuing success”.
“TTA were proud to have raised over £14,000 for Children Today. We were pleased to raise such a great amount for our chosen charity. This was a fantastic achievement that goes towards an important cause”. The Tiling Show was also a success for the industry, being held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on the day of TTA Awards. Sponsored by tiling tools manufacturer BIHUI, The Tiling Show grew again this year in terms of the number of exhibitors and also the wide breadth of visitors from the industry. The Show is now firmly established as a ‘must attend’ event in the tiling industry’s annual calendar.
Having previously worked as a designer, showroom manager, and in various regional sales manager roles, Keelea has been an integral part of Franke for over six years. During this time, she has
proven herself as a capable leader, having already held senior management and business development roles within the company. Keelea's new national role will see her work closely with Franke's distribution partners across the UK to develop the business with a focus on new opportunities and new products. Specifically, she will be focusing on Franke’s appliances, cooker hoods, and multi-functional taps categories, and a key aim will be to increase Franke's relationships with appliance retailers.
