Lifestyle trends are motivating new levels of custom furniture design

reating a highly personalised and plush environment which supports flexible lifestyles is absolutely essential in every part of the kitchen and living space in 2023, as staying in becomes the new ‘going out’. Consequently, refined luxury is set to grow this year, as the desire to combine beauty and utility at home continues to surge and welcome designated home bars for entertaining, and full-size larders for optimum food storage.

Greater creativity in interior design and space management is also prompting a rise in having a dedicated boot room or laundry space, as a great way to extend the main kitchen and enhance everyone’s quality of life. In fact, 2023 is to be to be the year of sustainable home upgrades, choosing furniture that helps create flexible kitchen interiors that cater to the main functions

of cooking and dining, alongside home bars to entertain, laundry rooms, and boot rooms which cater to everyone member in the household (including pets!) while providing an important ‘valve’ to the outside world.

Shaker design influences will remain strong as this classic style continues to work in all property styles with the scope to customise units in line with the latest lifestyle trends. Finishes will also lend a hand in the luxury space this year as furniture solutions which are tactile, visually appealing and durable are in high demand. When complementing classic painted kitchens in the town or country this year, then rich blues and greens alongside pale natural tones and quintessential greys remain the palette of choice. Whereas in more contemporary spaces then cool, calm and collected colours are the way forward with mineral-effect slab fronted doors defining this style of furniture.

The Linton Collection by Daval New. Contemporary. Shaker.

T

he new Linton Furniture Collection is both classic and contemporary in equal measure, fast becoming a firm favourite with customers who want to be defined by difference and have the freedom to explore their design ideas without being restricted by material or finish.

Designed for modern living spaces, Linton is stylish yet subtle by providing a contemporary take on the iconic Shaker cabinet that perfectly blends modern design with traditional features. Featuring a slimmer 68mm stile (frame height) and

rail (frame width) on the doors, Linton presents a more delicate aesthetic when compared to more traditional shaker-style cabinetry.

Delivering quick lead times, Linton is available in the company’s most popular range of painted colours including Porcelain and Fossil (pictured), Dove Grey, Navy Blue, Charcoal and Forest Green: solid painted ash shaker with 68mm frame.

Offering high-end design appeal, the Linton range includes full height doors with double cross rails, complementary 150mm skirting plinths and large 75mm island pilasters, which are perfect for

grounding an island unit. You can even specify integrated accessories like a tray unit and chopping boards. Linton is made to order, and the doors are standard size with the cabinets tailored to customer requirements, ensuring the ultimate in custom made furniture design just like the featured day pantry finished with a classic oak interior and adjoining bootroom with special dog station in Linton Fossil.

Made of sustainable solid ash, the Linton doors are sourced from Europe and the cabinets from the UK, both via FSC certified forests and available with a five-year guarantee as standard.
