T
e are all trying to be more sustainable and create less waste and fabricators now have the opportunity to tackle one problem with ease. And that’s why the Worktop Fabricators Federation is delighted to announce its partnership with Reutilize.
Unused slabs and offcuts are often left hanging around in the workshop taking up space when in actual fact, they could be listed on a platform that connects those looking to move stock and those on the look out for something particular.
There is the added bonus of course, that using this service diverts waste from landfill which has a harmful effect on the planet. And there's the satisfaction that comes from knowing that as a business, they are helping to reduce the impact on the environment. It's a win for all involved. Reutilize is dedicated to promoting this material efficiency. By employing a streamlined database search, the platform is easy to use - something that the time poor will appreciate.
Tim Matthews of Counter Production Ltd. who is the creator and host of Reutilize commented: “I agreed early on that we would allow WFF members to use Reutilize for its members’ purposes, as they represented the right kind of companies we wanted to push for this initiative. Using up existing stock is important, but doing it through companies who are applying the correct levels of H&S is also important, even though Reutilize isn’t there to police this process. It seemed like a natural partnership on the stone/quartz/porcelain side."
Nigel Fletcher, operations officer for Worktop Fabricators Federation said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer our members this service helping them to clear remnants, stop filling up landfill with offcuts, while adding to their bottom line profit. It’s a win-win and a great partnership for us.” To find a trusted fabricator, visit
