The Evolution range of InSinkErator® food waste disposers is the ideal solution for households this summer, reducing the amount of food waste lingering in the bins.

The optimal method to dispose of food waste is to compost, but this is not an option available to everyone. Despite our best efforts, a small proportion of food waste is inevitable and many of us are faced with the difficulty of sustainably disposing of our vegetable peelings, banana skins, chicken bones and left-overs etc. An InSinkErator® food waste disposer allows food waste to be dealt with hygienically, efficiently and quickly, while reducing odours in the kitchen. Food waste can be ground into minute sized particles, thanks to the innovative system of stainless steel grinding rings. The food waste is then dispatched and simply rinsed away safely down the drain, through the standard plumbing.

Energy Efficient Dishwashing from Miele T

he G6890 SCVi K2O dishwasher boasts an A+++- 20% energy rating, thanks to a EcoTech heat storage system. This requires less energy by storing hot water in a looped pipework at the back of the machine, which helps to pre-heat the fresh water for the next programme, therefore requiring less energy in the wash cycle to bring it up to the desired temperature. A QuickPowerWash programme is also available, which cleans and dries crockery in just 58 minutes, with an impressive ‘A’ cleaning performance and the outstanding A+++-20% energy rating.

Miele’s Automatic dishwasher cycle uses as little as 6.5 litres of fresh mains water. It allows users to wash varying load sizes with the water and electricity adjusted accordingly, while the EcoFeedback function displays the estimated water and electricity consumption with the actual values shown at the end of the programme. Offering the perfect solution for handleless kitchens, the G6890 SCVi dishwasher also features Miele’s exclusive Knock2Open technology where the door opens automatically after being lightly tapped twice. Other highlights include App control, a patented in-door salt container, an enhanced 3D+
