Probox save kitchen manufactures valuable time and money with quality dovetail drawers

M

any manufacturers of bespoke high end kitchens save time and money by outsourcing solid timber dovetail drawers and other accessories to Probox.

Probox has been a trusted partner to the kitchen and furniture industry for over 15 years. Probox’s sole focus is on creating bespoke dovetail draws and accessories in a range of timbers. By working with Probox as a trade partner for the dovetail draw element, it allows kitchen manufactures to focus their efforts on designing kitchens that fulfil the dreams of their customer base, with inspirational designs and turnaround these projects in a timely manner, which benefits everyone.

Probox start the manufacturing process with the careful selection of quality solid timber. FSC certified timber is available on request. Tradesman craftsmanship and specialist equipment are combined during the manufacturing process to achieve the precision and attention to detail required to produce Proxbox drawers.

Probox produce outstanding dovetail joints using machinery with CNC variable pitch control, allowing total freedom on drawer heights. Probox can also produce ‘traditional’ dovetails, with the pins wider than the sockets. This makes the dovetail joints more hand crafted in appearance.

All drawer boxes at Probox are hand finished and packed to a high standard, ensuring they arrive in immaculate condition, on time, every time. Probox also offer an engraving service, allowing kitchen manufacturer’s to put their brand on the side of each drawer box. This becomes part of the experience for the client, as the kitchen manufacture’s logo that’s only visible when the drawer is open, becomes a discrete label that reminds friends and family this kitchen was bespoke designed and handcrafted.

Probox also offer handmade bespoke spice racks and cutlery trays in a range of timbers. The spice racks are made with a Hoffman key joint and have a set of easy to use metal keyhole plates on the reverse for simple fitting onto the reverse of a cupboard door. The trays come with dovetail joints on the edges, or inserts come without edges and use the edge of the drawer instead.

Following our very brief telephone conversation earlier I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the 15 bespoke sized solid oak drawer boxes you kindly made for me.

When they arrived promptly as promised, they were packaged beautifully, protected with good quantities of cardboard all edges stretched wrapped and extremely well secured to the pallet.

The oak drawers themselves were delivered unfinished as requested and needed no final sanding before I finished them, which was a total joy! I have absolutely no idea how you manage to construct them so swiftly and more importantly for such a competitive price. I would normally make my own drawers but my schedule currently has prevented it and I will definitely take a very hard look at whether it is worth me ever making my own on in the future.
