Designed to help locate hidden leaks in pressurised water systems, the AD22P acoustic leak detector adds outdoor detection capabilities to HIKMICRO’s existing AD21P platform. Leaks in pressurised pipework


create vibrations and acoustic signals as water escapes through cracks, damaged joints or faulty sections. The AD22P uses two application-specifi c sensors: a high-sensitivity indoor sensor for concealed pipework in fl oors and walls, and a three-point outdoor sensor designed to maintain contact on surfaces including soil, concrete, asphalt and paving. The device is intended for use across


indoor plumbing and outdoor areas of residential and small commercial properties, helping plumbers, maintenance teams and leak detection specialists identify potential leak points while reducing the need for unnecessary excavation. Indoor detection is supported by HIKMICRO’s


SuperDetect algorithm, which analyses acoustic signals to help distinguish leak sounds from background noise.


The AD22P off ers quick inspection and detailed


comparison modes, allowing users to screen suspected areas before carrying out more precise checks. It features a 7in touchscreen display, a frequency range of 200 to 16,000 Hz and 1.2m drop protection. Laser scanners speed up workfl ows


The new Leica RTC series of terrestrial laser scanners has been launched with improvements in scanning speed, accuracy and workfl ow connectivity, allowing fi eld and offi ce teams to collaborate during data capture. The series includes the Leica RTC300,


RTC500 and RTC700, which combine the speed and versatility of the Leica RTC360 with the accuracy and robustness of the ScanStation P-Series. Three performance tiers are available, allowing users to upgrade as project requirements change without replacing the full system. A new Livelink capability in Leica Cyclone


FIELD 360 enables scan data to be streamed to Hexagon GeoCloud as it is captured. Multiple scanners can contribute to a shared project in real time, helping teams identify gaps before leaving site and begin processing deliverables while scanning is still underway.


Insulation put to the test


Test and measurement specialist, Martindale Electric, has developed a versatile, high-performance insulation tester specifi cally for commercial and industrial electrical testing, complete with PI and DAR measurement for checking insulation degradation issues. Suitable for both installation and


ongoing service applications, the IN2203 Advanced Insulation Tester combines a wide range of test functions in a single, compact device, including a fully functioning insulation tester. It has the ability to measure insulation quality, plus additional handy electrical measurement functions to aid troubleshooting. The insulation test capability of the


IN2203 features fi ve selectable test voltages from 50V up to 1,000V, which can measure insulation resistance up to 20G ohms. It also incorporates a Lo-ohms earth-bond continuity (200 mA) test. For added safety, the live circuit detection check inhibits testing on circuits where voltage is present.


The RTC series is designed for applications including

Taking the guesswork out of solar checks


The PV:1525 Series of solar PV testers from Seaward has been expanded with the launch of the PV:1525-IV, adding IV curve tracing to a range of installation testers designed for 1500V solar systems. The tester combines electrical commissioning checks with


performance analysis, allowing installers and maintenance professionals to carry out safety testing and assess module and string performance using the same platform. The addition of IV curve tracing enables users to move beyond basic checks and gain further insight into system operation during commissioning and maintenance activities. The series supports open-circuit


voltage (Voc) measurements up to 1500V DC, short-circuit current (Isc) measurements up to 25A, insulation resistance testing to 1500V DC and continuity measurements. It is designed for residential and commercial rooftop solar installations where higher voltage capability is required. The PV:1525-IV allows users to identify potential deviations in


system performance by comparing expected and measured results. The range also includes a Dynamic Surge Suppression System, which monitors and manages inrush current during short-circuit testing to help protect both the tester and installation. Bluetooth connectivity enables test results to be documented on site,
