Sustainable Home Centre launched in East Ham
Price promise for the trades
As cost pressures continue to impact businesses across the UK, Screwfix has launched a pricing pledge – if trade customers find an identical product at a lower price from a qualifying retailer within seven days of purchasing from Screwfix, they can make a Price Promise claim and receive a refund for the difference. The commitment applies across purchases made in Screwfix stores, via the company’s website and also the Screwfix App. The Price Promise also applies to purchases made through Screwfix Sprint, where products can be delivered to site in as little as 20 minutes. Jack Wallace, marketing director for Screwfix, says: “We are committed
to helping our customers save both time and money, so they can get their jobs done quickly, affordably and right first time. Our Price Promise gives customers added confidence that they are getting great value, along with the convenience and availability they expect from us.” ◼

Practical tools promote pipe system benefits
London Plumbing & Heating Supplies has partnered with Daikin to launch a new Sustainable Homes Centre. Officially opened in August at Barking Road, East Ham, the launch event brought together local installers and industry experts. A family-run business established more than 25 years ago, London
Plumbing & Heating Supplies has now expanded to four branches and will be looking to use the Sustainable Homes Centre as a dedicated hub for sustainable home heating and cooling solutions. The facility is set to play a key role in upskilling local tradespeople through Daikin-led training, live product demonstrations, and technical support, giving installers the confidence and tools needed to meet the growing demand for heat pumps across London. “We want to provide more than just products,” explains operations
director Raj Dha. “We want to support installers with the knowledge, practical training, and technical expertise they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.” ◼

Pipe systems specialist Fränkische is looking to encourage merchants to engage with trade customers in conversations around the future of plumbing through a nationwide point- of-sale campaign designed to support installer education on multilayer composite pipe (MLCP) systems. The initiative has seen eye-catching educational displays introduced into merchant branches across the UK, equipping counter staff with practical tools to explain the features and performance benefits of the system. UK MD Remi Volpe explains: “As demand for MLCP continues
to grow, it’s important that merchant teams feel confident discussing the technology and the practical benefits it can bring. This campaign is about supporting those conversations, sharing knowledge and recognising the branches that are doing an outstanding job of helping installers make informed decisions.” ◼
