LG Electronics is strengthening its position in Europe’s residential heat pump market with a wide portfolio of high-effi ciency heat pump solutions. The Therma V R290 Monobloc


is an air source heat pump that delivers heating in outdoor temperatures as low as -28°C and can supply domestic hot water up to 75°C. Its monobloc design connects indoor and outdoor units via water


piping only, reducing the need for indoor refrigerant piping. The Multi V i is a VRF system


combining R32 refrigerant with a high-effi ciency inverter compressor and smart controls, and includes sensors that trigger automated protection if a refrigerant leak is detected. The Multi V S is a compact VRF


solution off ering fl exible system integration, energy management, smart individual controllers and a user-friendly interface. Compact unit off ers siting fl exibility


The S2060 is the fi rst model in NIBE’s new family of compact R290 heat pumps, with additional outputs due to be introduced later this year. The S2060 uses natural R290 refrigerant with a global warming potential of just 0.02, and has no protective zone requirements, giving greater fl exibility when siting the unit. It delivers a SCOP of up to 5.33, with fl ow temperatures of up to 75°C and heating and cooling capability down to -25°C. The unit is designed for straightforward installation, with


a compact, lightweight, single-fan construction and quiet operation. It is compatible with NIBE’s existing F and S Series control platforms and integrates with the myUplink app, allowing monitoring and control of the system. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/926/48


A new range of stainless steel unvented cylinders designed for use with heat pumps has been launched by Advance Appliances. The cylinders range from 150 to 300 litres and are ERP ‘A’ rated for heat loss. All cylinders are fully recyclable.


The insulation can be removed to reveal the bare stainless inner unit – which is said to off er other benefi ts. For example, when siting in a loft with restricted access, the insulation can be removed and refi tted when the cylinder is in situ. Advance Heat Pump Cylinders


feature low-resistance DN32 coils, making them suitable for installation with high-fl ow heat pumps. The coil is positioned to maximise heat transfer while maintaining low return temperatures. Capacities of 200 litres and above


are fi tted with two immersion heaters. One of these heaters can be wired to a dedicated solar PV source. Both heaters are 3kW, however a lower wattage heater can be specifi ed if the solar array has a lower output. All units come with a 25-year guarantee and are individually tested


during production to ensure they are leak-proof. The cylinders meet current UK Building Regulations and feature off set primaries for easier installation, along with additional sensing pockets for greater control.
