Combining colour, character and comfort


Selecting the right radiator is about more than just delivering the required heat output, as homeowners also want solutions that complement their overall interior scheme. Richard Lister from The Radiator Company explores how installers can make the most of design freedom to help customers achieve their desired fi nish.

ince the mid-nineteenth century, radiators have been a feature of domestic spaces, traditionally with the primary purpose


of providing effi cient heat. While performance remains fundamental, today’s radiators combine heating technology with versatile design. From contemporary fi nishes and bold colours to a wide variety of shapes and styles, there are now more options than ever to suit diff erent spaces and specifi cations. For installers, this presents a greater opportunity to off er customers solutions that deliver on both function and aesthetics to enhance the overall scheme or even become a standout design feature.


Colour selection


Choosing the colour of the radiator can dramatically impact the overall fi nish of the room it is installed in. From simple whites to bolder, bespoke fi nishes, colour can be a great way to create a memorable space or achieve a coordinated look – which is especially useful for installers working on high specifi cation builds or show houses. For example, manufacturers such
